„They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?”. “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.””
John 1, 38b-39a
Lord, how often bothers me the question: who are you? How it is going to be later, after the death? So this is the question of your disciples: Where do you live? And you say simply: „Instead of guessing, stop at their tiny imaginations just come to Me and see. Dwell in Me.” There is no other way to know You but meeting, especially in prayer. Often this is the introduction to the chamber called the suffering – but it is not the pain of despair, only the pain of love. Lord, open my heart to the unknown and take the fear of it.
Saint Rita, you were often meeting with the Master in prayer, and finally by the stigma of thorns brought you to this land of the loving suffering. Teach me the humility and to do His will. Obtain for me the grace to persevere in anticipation of what is beyond my imagination. A powerful advocate in difficult matters, listen with kindness begging my afflicted heart and obtain for me the grace that I need so desperately. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory…
You gave, Lord, to your servant, Rita
A sign of your love and passion.
Everyday decision: I will think today about the one wound, some suffering and try to find the Lord in it.
